Privacy policy
Updated October 17, 2026
Cervy is a privately operated household organizer. The household administrator operates the installation, manages its users and storage, and is the contact for questions about this policy. This policy describes Cervy’s Google email and calendar connections and this public information site.
Information Cervy accesses
- Gmail, when connected: the account email address, message identifiers, sender and recipient information, subject lines, dates, labels, message content, and supported attachments from selected messages.
- Google Calendar, when separately connected: the account email address and events from the connected primary calendar, including event titles, times, descriptions, locations, and participation information returned by Google.
- Authorization information: access and refresh tokens that let the installation retrieve data you approved. You enter your Google password with Google; Cervy does not receive that password.
Gmail access is read-only. Cervy does not use this connection to send messages, delete mail, or change mailbox labels. Calendar access is read-only and does not create or edit Google events or send invitations.
Gmail labels, query filters, and scan date ranges restrict Cervy’s retrieval. Google’s underlying read permission applies to the connected account, not just the filtered messages.
How information is used
Cervy uses connected data to show source material, identify household tasks and dated events, prepare reminders, and answer household planning questions. The installation uses rules and its configured local model service to interpret source text. Google data and derived records are not used for advertising, sold to data brokers, or used to train general-purpose AI models.
Storage and protection
Imported message text, attachment-derived content, source history, and derived household records are stored in the household-managed installation and may be included in its backups. Calendar events are retrieved and cached for display. On the Windows host, OAuth credentials are stored separately using Windows account-bound protection. Google API connections use HTTPS.
The administrator is responsible for protecting the host, household accounts, connected displays, and backups. This public website does not receive email contents, calendar events, or OAuth tokens from the household installation.
Household sharing and other recipients
Connected-account and household permissions determine who can see imported sources and derived records. A source explicitly configured as household-shared can make its source content, extracted tasks, and events visible to authorized household users and shared displays. Private source accounts use their configured access restrictions.
Cervy exchanges authorization and retrieval requests with Google to provide the connections. Its configured local model service processes relevant source text for household features. It does not send that source data to this public website. An administrator may inspect records for support or security with appropriate authorization. No data is shared for advertising or resale.
Retention and deletion
Imported source records, their history, and derived household records remain in local storage until the administrator removes them. The scan date range is a retrieval limit, not an automatic deletion schedule. Backups may retain earlier copies until the administrator removes or replaces those backups.
To stop future email retrieval, disable the account in Cervy or remove Cervy’s access from your Google Account connections. Calendar can also be disconnected in Cervy. Revoking access or stopping synchronization does not automatically erase records already imported. Ask your household administrator to remove local source records, related history and derived records, stored credentials, and applicable backups when requesting deletion.
Google API data commitments
Cervy follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use restrictions, for information received from Google APIs. Use and disclosure are limited to the household features and purposes described here.
This information website
These pages contain no application analytics, advertising scripts, account forms, or connection to the household database. The hosting provider may process ordinary request information, such as IP address and browser details, to deliver and secure the website under its own policies.
Questions and changes
Contact the household administrator who provided your Cervy access for privacy questions, access requests, or deletion assistance. Google’s consent screen also identifies the configured support contact. This page will be updated when these practices change; materially different uses of Google data require appropriate notice and consent before they begin.
